SCHOLARSHIP AWARD WINNERS!!!

After careful consideration taking many factors into account, the Chamber's hard
working Scholarship Committee consisting of Vinnie Moscato, Jeannie Mansueto, Jim
Widyn and Gina Vissichelli were proud to announce their selections for our 2009
Scholarship Award winners.
John Liebold and Catherine Hoar were selected over a
list of many worthy candidates because they ultimately excelled in so many areas that
made the final decision an easy one.  Both winners boasted amazing academic scores
as well as a plethora of extra-curricular achievements and involvement.  Bayville could

Saturday, December 6th marked the date for The Village of Bayville's Winter Festival culminating with the
annual Tree Lighting ceremonies.  This year, the event expanded on last year's outstanding presentation by the
Beautification Committee by getting a helping hand from The Bayville Chamber of Commerce.  In addition to the
wonderful Ice Carving exhibition, magician, carriage rides and the generously donated refreshments, the 2008
Winter Festival added a "Breakfast with Santa", a petting zoo, Matt the Music Man as well as the Boy Scouts offering
lovely holiday wreaths and the Girl Scouts providing holiday carols.

Parade down Bayville Avenue.  The Chamber once again set sail aboard Bridge Marina's luxury liner and enjoyed
soaking in the sun while remembering the true meaning behind the parade.  Our thanks go out to the American
Legion for allowing us to participate once again.  Please check out the following links for some great parade shots

What a great Memorial Day weekend in Bayville.  Saturday the 23rd kicked off with the celebration of
Bayville's 90th Birthday with a full day into night lineup of great activities, food, entertainment and more for our
wonderful village residents.  After opening ceremonies at Village Hall where a time capsule was buried among other
things, it really got started at West Harbor Beach with a carnival-like atmosphere of fun including the first of three
live musical performances.  The Village did a great job and the Chamber was proud to lend a hand in the festivities.
